Summary of Meeting 6/8/01

Our Greatest Teachers

Life, and the way we experience it, is solely dependent upon our perspective. Not only do we create our own reality, but also we attract those people and circumstances into our lives that serve the single purpose of accelerating our growth and increasing our life energy. This includes the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of our being.
A person unknowledgeable in such matters may think "great, I cannot wait for these people to appear in my life!". However, what most do not realize is that the people in our lives who "push our buttons", "get under our skin" and "make our blood boil" are, in fact, our greatest allies for growth! They are gifts from the universe and are our most important teachers.

All of us possess certain genetic as well as conditioned weaknesses, which serve to decrease our life energy and prevent our growth. The more weaknesses we have, the greater the opportunity for growth. These weaknesses can be described as "gaps" in our energy field. Anyone who irritates us is actually getting to the core of our weaknesses; they have the ability to rob us of life energy by going directly into these gaps. Their strength preys upon our weaknesses and causes us to react with disdain and contempt. Our ego does not like a spotlight being shown on our faults, so it chooses to react in a negative way to protect itself - yet it is doing us a disservice. Our weaknesses' being exposed is one of the greatest gifts we could ever receive. How else would we grow without these opportunities?
The key to neutralizing the power these people have over you is to choose peace in every single moment. You must master your emotions, so when these people do show up - and they will - you are unaffected. The decision to choose peace is the decision to grow. The decision to choose negativity will only bring about more unpleasant people and circumstances, and cause you to stagnate. There are no accidents; this is a perfect universe with perfect balance. Everyone you encounter is there for a very specific reason. Cherish each one of them and thank them for the gift they have brought you.

We are only limited by our beliefs. Each of us has the capability to be tremendously successful. In this line of work there are many, many teachers each and every day. Dealing with people is an interesting mirror, constantly reflecting our beliefs back to us in every moment. As our beliefs change for the better, so will our experiences and our productivity. You cannot fool the universe - or anyone else. Your circumstances and the people around you will always reveal you.
