Final Site Strategy
Objectives for the Perfect in Love website are not only to present visitors
with an abundance of easily accessed information but to do so in a manner that
communicates the logic behind the Perfect in Love message.
We have taken a multi-leveled approach to the navigation of the site. The first
level will be comprised of up to ten categories(chapters, in some cases). In
order to better serve the nature of the content, negotation through this level
will consist of interacting with a graphic/animated interface, ie flash buttons
etc.
The second level will consist of the subsections to each category, which will
be accessible both through the main navigation (after pressing on a top-level
button) and as a text only index appearing next to the article displayed.
The third level is comprised of all articles, events, press releases that are
to appear on the site. They will be dynamically generated as each user enters
the site. All data will be contained in a database that will be accessible by
Perfect in Love staff.
The tool provided by Imagelaunchers will allow Perfect in Love staff to update
all levels of navigation. We have developed a structure that we feel is, in
its simplicity, self-sufficient enough to weather minor changes in technology
and graphics that may occur in the future.
E-commerce and rich-media.
Throughout the development of this structure, we have been mindful of the possibility
for the addition of video, e-commerce etc. The open structure (based on mathematical
arrays) we have planned will again not be greatly affected by this. The .asp
Microsoft technology we have chosen will, if anything facilitate in any major
renovations to the site as it is a scalable, well-developed and widely supported
programming language with many precedents.
